Practical approach to engineering and design.
We are a small, hands-on, experienced team that works closely with companies to design and develop real products. We integrate into your project, think alongside you, and focus on what adds value. That means challenging assumptions, solving the right problems, and moving quickly without unnecessary overhead.
We’re curious, direct, and transparent in how we work.
Strategically located in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Barcelona and Orkney, we work seamlessly to deliver lean and efficient bodies of work to fulfill all the project needs.
Background · Founded in 2011, with a mission to deliver beautifully designed products from start to finish. We have always been lean and agile enabling us to provide you with the highest quality design services while remaining sensitive to project constraints.

IF Design Award 2020 - Solar What?!
Off-grid solar products offer many benefits to those living in energy poverty, but when disposed of prematurely and improperly they represent significant material and energy waste. Solar What?! challenges this waste, offering a solar product with adaptability and sustainability at its core. Research-based, the device is designed around existing repair cultures, ensuring continued access to energy for the user. Solar What?! reuses solar panels, utilizes locally available batteries, and is easy to disassemble and repair with common tools. We believe that providing affordable, clean energy can also promote responsible design, production, and consumption.
IF Design Award 2017 - Kio Kit BRCK
The Kio Kit is a simple and elegant solution made up of 40 Kio tablets, a BRCK, wireless tablet charging to reduce breakage, and a hardened, water-resistant, lockable case. There is a single plug used to charge the kit and one button to power on the entire system. It provides a holistic education technology solution that turns every classroom into a digital classroom in minutes. Our vision is to enable millions of children in schools across emerging markets to access digital educational tools for better learning. We focus on user-centric design and our hands-on approach to user experience makes the solution popular with students and teachers.
