Cramasie have now moved into our New Office!

We have finally moved into our new office. It’s more central to the city centre, only 10 minutes walk from Princes Street. It spans over two floors with client space, two meeting rooms, workshop and large design studio. There’s more to happen, but it’s an exciting time for us and our clients. We hope that you’ll join us here soon.

Our New Office is being renovated and will be ready Q2 2019!

We will be moving to our new premises in the centre of Edinburgh in Q2 2019. We have new facilities that will provide an improved open-plan design studio on the ground floor and basement, with workshop, private meeting room, etc. It’s been a while in the purchasing, planning and development of the property that will allow us to be serve our current and prospective clients’ needs.

We will let you know more soon and will keep you updated, but in the meantime you can see the work-in-progress of the concrete floor being poured in the basement.

Ranvier Health’s Trial is taking place in Guernsey to help with the Diagnosis of Depression

Cramasie have worked with Ranvier Health to develop a product to aid in the diagnosis of depression, and it is exciting news that Ranvier Health have been getting a lot of media attention in the recent talk given by Professor David Nutt and it’s CEO, David Adams, about this study.

Approximately 100 people, including GPs, pharmacists, dispensers, mental health workers and psychologists attended the evening talk. 40 people, including mental health charity representatives, politicians and general public came to the afternoon talk. This was highlighted on ITV Channel Islands news.

The current study in Guernsey is taking place at the Diagnostic Centre based at St Martin’s Pharmacy and if the study is successful, Ranvier Health is hoping it can help millions across the globe dealing with depression.

Success for QSPINE

CRAMASIE are proud to be involved with QSPINE in developing the SUREsystem Retractor.

Posted on Linkedin by Spinemason Ltd: “Another Win” for the SUREretractor were Mr Darren F Lui’s comments in today’s excellent complex spine procedure at St Georges Hospital in London. The SUREretractor was combined with navigation for spinal deformity to ensure clear images with no artefacts. This is essential when navigating the pedicle screws for complete accuracy.

We have also found that this robust and incredibly strong retractor allows regular movement throughout the procedure and doesn’t tether the patient’s tissue.

CRAMASIE developing Solar What?! – Reimagined Solar Lamps with The University of Edinburgh

We have been working with The University of Edinburgh in developing Solar What?! – this is a fully repairable, recyclable solar-powered light that empowers people to extend the lives of electronic devices.

In 2017 over 6 million small, solar powered lighting devices were sold worldwide and 1.6 million solar powered lighting devices entered electronic waste flows.

We believe that delivering affordable, clean energy for all can also promote responsible production and consumption. Our combined goal is to advocate for sustainable design in the global solar industry and promote the repair, reuse and recycling of solar powered electronics. We are pro-solar, anti-waste.

It is also exciting to note that the first Solar What?! prototype has joined the permanent collection at the National Museum of Scotland, disseminated to the wider public as an example of a technological innovation, designed in Scotland to address global challenges of energy access and electronic/plastic waste. We are very proud of our involvement in this project.

The ceremony was a great success and well done to everyone who won an award… especially to the team at Blackspace, Tat at Carozzeria Kawai Corp. and the team at NCR. Fantastic occasion! We even ran into our old intern at the awards, Nic, who has developed into a great designer and we want to wish him all the best in his future career!
